The Richmond Catholic Parish has two churches – St Ignatius on Richmond Hill and St James in Kent Street, North Richmond.

St James

Parishioners at St James have had to take responsibility for looking after the church and organising liturgies, etc. There is a small group at St James who have generously taken over this responsibility.

This is a wonderful support for the priests in the parish.

The St James liturgy group consists of the following members: Val Flynn, Bernadette Pell, Kim Power, Margaret Pullar and Katerina Radonic. They are assisted by Peter Cooney who had taken on the responsibility of sacristan.

The group organises their own meetings to prepare for liturgy for major feasts. There are occasions when the group gathers with members from the St Ignatius group to prepare for the whole parish celebrations.

St Ignatius

Liturgical preparations centre around the church organist and choir director Nancy Calo who works closely with the priests of the parish.
