30 November 2014: First Sunday of Advent

Stay awake! You never know when the Lord will come

Advent Wreath - First Sunday

Word of justice, Alleluia,
Come to dwell here. Maranatha!
Word of mercy, Alleluia,
Live among us. Maranatha!
Word of power, Alleluia,
Live within us. Maranatha!
Word of freedom, Alleluia,
Save your people. Marantha!

Prayer for the Blessing of Advent Wreath

Heavenly Father, as we begin this Advent,
give light to our eyes and peace to our
hearts. May the Lord find us watching
and waiting in joy when He comes.
We pray in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
