17 March 2013: Fifth Sunday of Lent
St Patrick's Day

Those who live in glass houses cannot afford to throw stones! Today’s Gospel confronts our willingness to judge others by our own standards and to condemn them as inferior. Those who truly know themselves realise that judging others is a very risky business since one day God may judge us in the same way.

Life's journey has its ups and downs. From childhood to adolescence to adulthood; from inexperience to experience; from success to failure; from sin to repentance; from death to life. To each person’s life experience today’s readings can speak.

The great gift of being a human being lies in our freedom to continually right our wrongs and make new persons of ourselves.
