This coming weekend is the CatholicCare Sunday Appeal. As our parish’s social service agency, CatholicCare delivers family and relationship counselling, refugee and settlement support, education and school programs, and pastoral services. Donations from our parish community will help care for the most vulnerable families in our community.

Important Announcement

As the Richmond Catholic Parish is located within one of the Victorian local government areas moving to Stage 4 Stay at Home restrictions, from 6:00pm on Sunday 02 August 2020, all public Masses and private prayer times in our parish will continue to be suspended for 6 weeks or until further notice. Additional restrictions also apply to baptisms and funerals.  From 11:59pm on Wednesday 05 August 2020, weddings in Melbourne cannot occur, except on compassionate grounds.

While our church buildings are closed for public Masses and private prayer times, in reality the Church - the People of God, Body of Christ, and Temple of the Holy Spirit - is very much with us, just as Jesus remains with us. In this time of being apart we discover ways to participate in Masses, supporting one another and continuing to be a part of the life of the Church.
