Today is Social Justice Sunday. This year, the Australian Bishops’ Social Justice Statement, To Live Life to the Full: Mental health in Australia, encourages faith communities, governments and each one of us to make mental health a priority.

This coming weekend is the CatholicCare Sunday Appeal. As our parish’s social service agency, CatholicCare delivers family and relationship counselling, refugee and settlement support, education and school programs, and pastoral services. Donations from our parish community will help care for the most vulnerable families in our community.

Today is the Feast Day of the patron saint of St Ignatius' Church. St Ignatius is the founder of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus) and patron of spiritual retreats and soldiers.
