After many years as Richmond parishioners, Dr Kim Power and Dr Paul Power are leaving to live in a Retirement Village. After first moving to Richmond in 1998, they joined the Richmond Catholic Parish and were made welcome at St James', particularly by Val Flynn, Meg Pullar, Maria Rohr, Wendy Matarkis and Jean Kerr Walsh.

Parishioners and visitors may already know that we have an indoor Columbarium on the northern side of the church.  After much planning, the parish's new indoor Columbarium, with seventy-eight niches, has finally been realised.  It is located along the eastern wall and to your left as you enter the main entrance of St Ignatius' Church.

As we continue into the second week of this lockdown, though we are more accustomed to the restrictions and isolation, yet it is still not that easy for many people. On the positive side, it is a good opportunity for many of us to pause for a while and be more reflective and more in tune with our global events, especially the ravaging effect of COVID-19 in India, and the political turmoil in Myanmar.
