The regional Bishop comes to St Ignatius' Church to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on candidates.  Year 9 students from St Kevin’s College, Waterford receive this sacrament within our parish and every second year they are joined by Catholic children from our parish school and non-Catholic schools.

Preparing Catholic children to receive the sacrament

Catholic children attending our parish school undergo preparation for the sacrament at the school.

For Catholic children in our parish who are attending non-Catholic schools, please contact Hawthorn Catholic Parish to register your child(ren) for sacramental classes.  Candidates need to be in Year 4 or above.  There are no classes at Richmond Catholic Parish.
